Weclome to the world of my fiction, honored in competitions including the Atlantic Monthly's student fiction contest, the Lorian Hemingway short story award and by the Dora Teitelboim Center for Yiddish Culture. Dodge Foundation, Southeast Review, Cream City Review, Ucross Foundation and the University of Iowa Press short fiction manuscript award have all chimed in too. I explored my love of the short story and novel at the fiction workshop at UC Irvine, where I studied under Geoffrey Wolff and alongside the luminous Aimee Bender, Maile Meloy and others. I'm now working on a novel as well as an ever-expanding collection of stories, I Know a Lot About Water, excerpts of which have been published in Gettysburg Review, Red Rock Review, Greensboro Review and on this very website. For the latter, competition was fierce. Check 'em out.
